What are Exclusive Editions?
Exclusive Edition is the term we use to distinguish books that are not part of any subscription box from subscription editions.
We are primarily a subscription-based company, but sometimes a featured book doesn’t fit our subscription genres. And sometimes we want to complete a series. And sometimes we just can’t wait to share an edition with you.
Exclusive Editions are always offered for preorder first, meaning you can secure your copy early!
What does preorder mean?
When you preorder, you are securing a copy of an Exclusive Edition before it’s printed.
Once printed, Exclusive Editions are shipped to our warehouse (or US Dispatch Hub), where preorders are packed and fulfilled. Lead times between your preorder and dispatch will be several months, depending on production and transit times.
All preorders are packed and fulfilled before the Exclusive Edition is made available for purchase on our website.
Preorders are open to everyone, but active subscribers get 24 hours of early access.
Preorders can be limited (a fixed quantity is available) or open (not restricted by a set quantity) but Exclusive Editions are still limited to one copy per customer.
Each Exclusive Edition announcement will clearly state which type of preorder it will be.
Preorders are usually open for 6-8 weeks, unless an edition is strictly limited and sells out earlier.
We will always provide notice of the official end date. Check our socials for the latest updates on preorder windows and end dates.
Remaining stock is never guaranteed.

All Exclusive Editions are announced at their full retail price.
During Early Access (Subscribers Only)
Active subscribers receive 10% off during their 24-hour early access window.
During General Access for Preorder
All customers receive 5% off during general access until the preorder closes.
After preorders have been fulfilled, any remaining stock (if available) is sold at full retail price.
Preordering provides the lowest available price and the best chance of securing a copy.

Preorder windows are typically 6–8 weeks, giving plenty of time to reserve your copy. However, this varies for each edition.
Active subscribers receive 24 hours of early access before the preorder opens to the public.
Once the preorder window closes, the Exclusive Edition is unavailable for purchase.
However, after all preorders have been packed and dispatched, any remaining stock may be made available to purchase at full retail price. This is not guaranteed.
Lead times between the start of a preorder and dispatch will be several months, depending on production and transit times.
We always provide a rough dispatch estimate when the edition is announced.

If you miss the preorder, you may still have a chance to purchase leftover stock
when it goes live on the website, but this is not guaranteed.

We reserve the right to cancel any orders that exceed the one-copy-per-title limit.
Yes! All Exclusive Editions, whether preordered or purchased from leftover stock, come from the original print run and include the same features.

Shipping & Delivery
Preorders and leftover stock are dispatched in the order received.
