Exclusive Edition Books Returns & Replacements Policy

We are unable to accept returns, all Bookish & Spice special edition books and subscription purchases are non-refundable with the exception of any major delays.

If your book has arrived damaged, you can contact us at admin@bookishandspice.com.au to file a claim. We will ask you to provide photo evidence of the damaged item. The criteria is a general guidance, every claim will be reviewed by our team and replacements will be at the discretion of our team.

Damage Criteria

Does qualify as damage:

  • A tear/rip/cut on the dust jacket or hardcover
  • Dirty or sticky residue that can’t be removed
  • Stained or discoloured book or pages
  • Dented or crushed corners bigger than 1.5cm
  • Water damage
  • Production defects
  • Very blurry stencilled edges
  • Deep, noticeable scratches on gilded edges main edge
  • Missing parts or pages

Does NOT qualify as damage:

  • Light scratches on the dust jacket or hardcover
  • Shelf wear
  • Wavy pages
  • Minor scuffing on the edge
  • Slightly blurry stencilled/digitally printed edges
  • Minor scratches on top and bottom edge (gilded edges)
  • Minor page bleeding or edges bleeding
  • Creasing or folding on the top or bottom of the book spine or dust jacket

Paperbound Hardcover - Due to the nature of this material, the hardcovers are prone to slight bends and creases on the corners and spine. Any bends or creases that can be smoothed out by hand are not considered damaged.

We can only accept exchange/replacement claims within 14 days of the date you received your order.

If you provided the incorrect address on your order, your box is ineligible for a replacement.
