Bookish & Spice began with one simple goal, to create beautiful, affordable special edition books more accessible for readers in Australia and New Zealand. We specialise in fantasy, dark romance and contemporary romance, always with a little spice.
Our bi-monthly subscription boxes are thoughtfully curated in partnership with talented authors and artists, bringing each story to life in a truly special way. Every box features a new book, and our subscriptions never overlap, so you can subscribe to more than one without ever receiving duplicates.
From time to time, we also offer preorders for additional exclusive editions. All of our books are printed in very limited quantities, making each one a treasured addition to your shelf.

We are located in Brisbane, Australia
This means we typically use Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) and Australian Currency (AUD) in announcements and promotions.
If you have active unfulfilled orders (you have already paid but it has not been shipped yet) please email admin@bookishandspice.com.au to change your address for these.
When you change your shipping address on the website portal, it only updates your address for any future orders. It will not change the address for purchases already made so we have to change these manually.
To change your address for future subscriptions, please follow the instructions below:
How to access your book box subscription
1. Once you have logged into your account and navigated to 'Your subscriptions', click 'Edit Subscription' for the Subscription you want to update:
This should take you to a page that looks something like this:
2. Scroll down, and under the billing schedule you should see the following:
Click the 'Edit' button circled above to edit your shipping address for future boxes.
3. You can also edit your contact email (which we use to send subscription updates) by clicking the 'Edit' button next to contact:
YOUR ADDRESS FOR UNFULFILLED ORDERS WILL NOT CHANGE!
If you have active order that you have paid for but it has not shipped yet YOU MUST EMAIL US at admin@bookishandspice.com.au for us to manually update your address on that order. You CANNOT change the address for outstanding orders yourself.
If your renewal fails, our system will attempt to process payment 3 more times.
These attempts will be made every 24 hours until the payment is processed.
If the payment is unsuccessful after the final attempt, your subscription will be paused.
We will then email you and ask what you would like to do. If you do not respond to us, your subscription will be cancelled.
